Got into San Diego early and then went directly to Perry's Cafe for breakfast and then off to Seaport Villgage before checking in to the hotel and spending the afternoon and evening in Gaslamp Quarter.
Boat heading out for the day.
The folks on the boat appeared to be training the dolphin. Not sure if this was part of the Navy's Dolphin program or not.
Close up of the dolphin.
Seaport Village.
Moma duck and her eleven babies. Over the course of the next few days I saw her and her brood just about all over Seaport Village. She seemed to be giving the ducklings a tour of the place, showing them where to get food scraps, where the water was, etc. They had no fear of the tourists.
Finally, safe in the water.
Not sure what kind of bird this was, but it was very pretty to look at.
On the 4th of July, you could not find any room to sit or stand in the area shown in this photo. It was that crowded.

View of Coronado Island across the bay from San Diego.
This is a 1 minute 18 second video of the ducks working their way around Seaport Village.
