Caribbean Cruise 2010

Took a quick Caribbean cruise vacation that had us visit Key West and Coco Kay. Two days were spent at sea which allowed for a relaxing time reading and day dreaming.

Georgia Republic 2010

These photos are from my April 2010 trip to the country of Georgia. I was lucky enough to have been invited by my friend Berika to visit his home town, Sachkhere, and have dinner with his family and friends. Along the way we stopped off in Gori to buy bread and visit the Stalin museum again, visit the home of Prince Ak'ak'i Tsereteli, who was a prominent Georgian poet and national liberation movement figure, and Mgvime Monastery.

Sonoma, Napa and Lodi 2010

My friend Paul Houston and I met up with our mutual friend Paul Heckman in Sacramento and decided to visit the wineries in the area. Sacramento is in wine country and we visited wineries in Sonoma, Napa and Lodi counties. While we visited some of our favorite established wineries we also made it a point to visit some of the boutique wineries in the region and came away with some wines that were simply some of the best we've ever had. Not many photos to show, however, because of the rain the came and went as we went about our visits.

Georgia Republic 2009

I have had the good fortune to visit the Republic of Georgia several times. It is a beautiful country which I have wanted to visit since participating in the National Geographic Genome Project and finding out that my DNA results pinpoint my ancestors having resided in Georgia at some point in the past. In the summer of 2009, I accepted an offer to work on a USAID funded project that is helping the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science develop an educational management system. The project is an exciting one and I've come to make some very good and dear friends in my short time visiting Georgia. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Glacier National Park 2009

Glacier National Park, together with the Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada, form the world's first International Peace Park. Glacier National Park was established in 1910 and in 1932 joined Canada's Waterton Lakes National Park to become the Glacier - Waterton International Peace Park. The Glaciers are receding and it is believed they will be gone by 2020, so I was glad to have been able to have visited the park and see the remaining glaciers while they still exist. This trip was taken in August-September 2009.

San Diego April 2010

The primary purpose of this trip was to attend the wedding of my niece Lisa. Justin's daughter, Ariel, was the flower girl at the wedding and she had been asking her parents to take her to Legoland for some time so this event was tacked on to the trip.

San Diego 2009

Decided to drive over to San Diego to get away from the Tucson heat and to celebrate my birthday. The four days spent there were truly relaxing. Unlike past trips where we would stay on the waterfront, this trip we stayed at the Westin at Horton Plaza which is in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. This made for wonderful evening visiting the many different eateries in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Sedona 2008

I returned to Sedona in July 2008 to bring my friend Mazen's daughter, Leen, to visit. Mazen had asked me to bring her since he had enjoyed his visit so much in 2007. Leen and I took a Jeep tour into the mountains. Enjoy the photos.

Wyoming 2008

This trip was one I've wanted to do for some time. Originally the goal of going to Wyoming was to look for land to purchase, but I've also wanted to see Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton National Park. This trip allowed me to combine both desires. The photos simply not do justice to the place. The amount of wildlife and the beautiful wide open spaces are incredible! I hope you enjoy browsing through the photos and videos of this trip.

I have visited Breckenridge numerous times and each time the natural setting is breathtaking.

North Carolina 2006

I took this trip to North Carolina to determine whether this would be a good place to buy some property. I had visited Asheville earlier for business and really enjoyed the area. I think you will really enjoy the photos from the Biltmore Estate and the Blueridge Parkway.

NY Botanical Gardens 2006

Dale Chihuly, working with the New York Botanical Gardens, put together a show of his glass magic that was designed to complement and fit into the natural beauty of the Botanical Gardens.

Paris 2006

I have been to Paris a great many times and love this fine city. It is a great city to walk in and the museums are, of course, first rate. This particular trip I went crazy taking photos with my Nikon SLR.

Sedona 2006

I have been to Sedona more times than I can remember. I simply love this area of Arizona. You can see more photos of Sedona in the family and friends section of this web.

Vail 2006

Vail, Colorado. This is another of my favorite places in the United States to visit and have done so on numerous occasions. This trip was for a conference and was held in the summer. During winter there is great skiing here.
